SCHAUMBURG, Illinois, October 28, 2009 -- Telacoustics today announced that the newest addition to its TAP™ technology suite -- audio processing for bone conduction -- makes its debut in the Motorola (NYSE: MOT) Endeavor™ HX1 Bluetooth® headset, the only true bone conduction Bluetooth® headset currently available on the market.

Telacoustics’ signal processing for bone conduction, along with its current leading multiple microphone processing, are both implemented within the HX1 headset.  Bone conduction, a technology originally created for special military forces, utilizes a sensor that detects vocal vibrations and turns them into audio.  The benefit of this technology is that the only audio that is transmitted is the voice and not the surrounding ambient noise.

“We are pleased to have had the opportunity to work with Motorola on this revolutionary product,” said Ira Gerson, president and founder of Telacoustics.  “Not only is the product an impressive technological achievement, but we are proud that Telacoustics was able to provide the audio processing solution for the HX1's pioneering bone conduction technology."

Telacoustics licenses its proprietary TAP™ audio processing system for both handsets and headsets.  It is currently integrated into several Motorola-branded products including the HX1, H17, H15, H790, and H780 Bluetooth® headsets, as well as the MOTO VE66, and Tundra™ VA76r mobile phones.
